Can Auto Insurance Reimburse Roadside Assistance?

You have roadside coverage through your insurer, but you'd rather call someone who answers the phone right now. That's usually allowed — here's how the money side typically works.

Pay, document, submit

The general pattern is straightforward. You call an independent provider, receive the service, pay for it, and get an itemized receipt or invoice. You then submit that documentation to your insurer, who decides whether your policy covers reimbursement and how much.

What to keep

An itemized invoice showing the provider name, date, time, service performed, vehicle and amount paid. Photos of the vehicle and the location help. Note the location as precisely as you can — insurers frequently ask.

What we can and cannot promise

We can provide a professional receipt or invoice. We cannot guarantee reimbursement. Eligibility, limits and per-incident caps are set by your policy and your insurer, not by us. We are an independent roadside service provider and are not representing your insurance carrier.

Check your policy before you need it

Two minutes in your insurer's app now tells you whether direct-pay reimbursement is covered and what the per-event limit is. That is much easier than finding out at 2 a.m. on the shoulder of I-95.
